In recent years, Just Planes has visited Wizz Air Abu Dhabi on Women’s Day and flown the Airbus A321NEO to Sarajevo. Our two female pilots, who are from Mᴀʟᴛᴀ and Iɴᴅɪᴀ, lead us on a pleasant trip that includes a stunning approach into Bᴏsɴɪᴀ ᴀɴᴅ Hᴇʀᴢᴇɢᴏᴠɪɴᴀ. In addition, we take a flight to Belgrade with two people to finish this new program.
In honor of International Women’s Day and “Women’s Aviation Week,” Wizz Air, the airline in Europe with the fastest rate of expansion, reaffirms its dedication to fostering gender diversity in the aviation sector and pledges to hire more female pilots and executives.
Only 5,1%* of pilots worldwide are women, according to recent statistics, highlighting the need for greater diversity in positions that are typically held by men.
Wizz Air today reaffirms its commitment to boosting the proportion of female pilots through its Cabin Crew to Flight Deck program, which provides significant financial, travel, and housing assistance as well as an adjusted work and study schedule to help aspiring crew members get over hurdles to becoming pilots.
The 40-week program gives eager crew members the chance to pursue a career in Europe’s fastest-growing airline, which runs one of the sector’s youngest and most effective fleets.
Wizz Air is dedicated to fostering the advancement of women’s careers in all facets of the aviation industry as “Women’s Aviation Week” kicks off on March 8, 2021. This commitment includes a dedication to achieving equal gender representation on the airline’s boards and ᴍᴀɴagement.
