Together Becoming Airline Pilots: Emily and Lexie’s ATP Flight School Experience

The 25-year-old sisters Lexie and Emily Wilson, who are from Austin, Texas, wanted to change careers and were interested in aviation. After visiting ATP, they were certain it was the institution they wanted to attend. The sisters were given a timeframe by ATP that really felt ᴍᴀɴageable, and with the use of ATP’s resources, their objective of joining the airlines would be expedited.

At Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas, the Wilsons took their checkride tests.

They are pilots of the fourth generation. Curtis Wilson, their father, is a pilot and flying instructor for an international airline. He helps out at the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital as a volunteer. Their granddad flew 32 Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress sorties over Europe during World War II. In 1916, their great-grandfather received his pilot’s license while serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corps.

The Wilsons want to work as commercial pilots. They will move to Phoenix in order to finish an intensive training program at ATP Flight School.
