The Bʀᴀᴢɪʟian company Suzano has chosen to deploy an outstanding road train to expand forestry operations, boost production, and use less fuel. They selected to employ a reliable eucalyptus tree transportation technology called Hexatrem because they are the largest paper and pulp firm in Latin America. It comprises of a Volvo FMX truck pulling six trailers simultaneously, increasing productivity by 127% above tri-trains. With this clause, a length of 52 meters and a weight of 200 tons are attained, and it is only permitted to travel on the company’s exclusive roadways. The FMX, which boasts a 540 HP D13 engine, 2600 Nm of torque, and a reinforced chassis to sustain the load, makes everything feasible.

It includes a 14-speed automatic transmission and an I-sʜɪᴛ system that combines two Exᴛʀᴇᴍᴇʟʏ slow speeds because it would be difficult to lower the 200 tons without it. More than 35 tri-trains have been relieved of their weight thanks to this ᴍᴇᴛʜod of moving wood, and 28 new Hexatrem are expected to be in service by the end of 2022. Since 2011, the engine size has been removed from the model designation. The updated model is based on the FMX’s first generation, which was released in 2013, and its second generation, which will undergo a complete redesign starting on 27 February 2020. The D11 and D13 variants of the 11-liter and 13-liter Euro – 5 engines were available with the first-generation FMX when it was first introduced in 2010.
