A firm called Viking-Cives Midwest, situated in Missouri, USA, has created a system that can be integrated into snow plow trucks. Since 1960, the company has been developing truck equipment across North America. A trailer with a shovel on it and a container make up the TowPlow system. The TowPlow is positioned adjacently when being towed in order to cover the largest feasible area and clean two lanes simultaneously.
Due to the system’s resemblance to the employment of two-puck trucks and the potential cost savings, clearing snow-covered roads is now more effective. The showvel is 8 meters long overall, but because of how it works, it only occupies 4 meters, which is sufficient to clear an entire lane. It can be operated at speeds up to 60 km/h, making it Exᴛʀᴇᴍᴇʟʏ handy on multi-lane roads without creating backups or traffic for other cars.

The first of its new generation Logstackers in Cᴀɴᴀᴅᴀ was delivered by Allied System, the parent company of Wagner Logstackers, in British Columbia in March 2019. Cᴀɴᴀᴅᴀ is one of the world’s top producers of timber, thus they need machinery that is as efficient as possible to shorten production times. Due to its 4-wheel drive and working capability of up to 60 tons, the Wagner L490 Logtacker was chosen to enable efficient work in all conditions.
MaxiTrans
In 1972, MaxiTrans was established in Victoria, Aᴜsᴛʀᴀʟɪᴀ. The biggest producer and supplier of semi-trailer products in Aᴜsᴛʀᴀʟɪᴀ and Nᴇᴡ Zᴇᴀʟᴀɴᴅ. Boral turned to MaxiTrans to identify the best way to deliver its quarry materials in Western Aᴜsᴛʀᴀʟɪᴀ when it chose to replace its fleet of side tippers. Contrary to bottom dumpers, which may unload quickly but need a specific structure to do so, side tippers can unload anyplace. These road trains are used by Boral to transport quarry materials across vast distances, thus they must be effective and have a large carrying capacity. Depending on the purposes for which they are designed, the trailers’ single-piece structure may be fully made of steel or aluminum.
